Cutler and Gross 1388 05 Watermelon Crystal sunglasses for men and women, featuring a contemporary take on one of Tony Gross’ favourite frames, the 0864 which was inspired by the streetwear styles he encountered on his frequent trips to New York in the late 70s and early 80s.
The Watermelon Crystal is crafted from limited runs of acetate which the Cutler and Gross Atelier creates only twice a year and this season inspired by Yayoi Kasuma’s vivid pumpkins.
Each season, the brand’s dedicated Colour Studio selects premium acetates which are woven into the collection in strange and wonderful ways. The Colour Studio Editions are made on a single run of specially selected acetate, so once we have used the acetate in full, the colourway will not be reissued.
The Colour Studio Edition happens twice a year (SS/AW) and reflects colour trends in fashion and art, appealing to the collectors of Cutler and Gross and connoisseurs of couture.
