Dries Van Noten grew up surrounded by fashion, in a family steeped in the traditions of sourcing, manufacturing and retailing clothes.
A graduate of Antwerp’s prestigious Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Van Noten was part of the Antwerp Six, an influential avant-garde group of designers.
In 1986, he launched his first collection which sold to prestigious international retailers.
In addition to his boutiques in Antwerp, Paris, Singapore, Hong Kong and Tokyo, the designer works in partnership with some four hundred boutiques in cities such as New York, London, Milan, Berlin, Moscow.
Known for his cerebral designs and digitally inspired patterns, in 2005 he marked his 20th year in the business and in 2008 he received the CFDA’s prestigious International Award.
