Description
AKONI Hera Brushed Black Palladium sunglasses for men and women, featuring retro inspired navigator frames. The glasses have a striking frontal hood, remembering of the innovative “brise-soleil” and sleek overhangs that great mid-century architect Jean Prouvé developed to shield his Maison Tropicales from the relentless equatorial sun. The frame has enamel encircling, also adorning the front rims and side cups. Custom titanium temples with knurled round components, threaded tube screw system and ceramic nose pads with beta-titanium arms. With enamel encircling and enriching the front rims and side cups, the Akoni designers’ mastery in color combinations adds the perfect finishing touch to these retro-flavored navigators.
AKONI Hera sunglasses are part of the Optima collection. With it, the brand challenges preconceived design philosophies and tests the limits of contemporary eyewear production. The name Optima comes from Latin and it means “best”, reflecting on how each style from this collection is extraordinarily challenging to produce.
