Lapima is an independent eyewear brand from Brazil, founded in 2016, by Gisela and Gustavo Assis. Born in Caminas, in the countryside of São Paulo and inspired by artistic movements and the organic lines of Brazil’s landscape.
All of the models are 100% homemade with high quality and care. Each pair of glasses is sculpted by well experienced and qualified artisans inside Lapima’s atelier.
The production processes have been developed and standardized to ensure each eyewear reflects its inspiration, aesthetics and beauty. It takes 32 steps to develop 1 design: drawing, 3D modeling, CNC machining and hand polishing are just some of them.
The acetate used by Lapima is imported from Vale de Aosta, Italy and made from cellulose coming from renewable resources. It is hypoallergenic, resistant and flexible. It is lightweight and durable, does not lose quality over time.
The horn frames designed by Lapima are exclusive pieces, made from unique sheets, each frame has its own combination of shades, spots and colors, which creates a unique individual identity. The mix of colors caused by light and by the material itself cannot be reproduced.
Luxury and attitude are at the brand’s core, designing frames that are sculpted by hand in Italian acetate. Each Lapima style is made utilizing both state-of-the-art machinery and handmade craftsmanship. The couture eyewear label provides an array of hues and styles, from bright colors to earth tones.
Lapima infuses modern lines and vintage elegance in an authentic look from Brazil to the world.
